IPGMER Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 at Kolkata: The Government of West Bengal, Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, Kolkata -700020 has released a notification for the recruitment of Staff Nurse.

Applications are invited for the Staff Nurse post in the project entitled “Haemoglobinopathies Control Programme(HCP)”, funded by NHM & Executive Director WBSH&FW Samiti Govt. of WB Dept. of H&FW, Swasthya Bhawan Kolkata – 700091, Sanction no./ Memo no: HFW – 27011/358/2024 – NHM Sec. Dept of H&FW/2548 dated 30-8-2024 under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Uttara of Principal Investigator Chatterjee, Dept of Pathology

According to the official notification issued by the institute, the recruitment will be conducted for a contractual post under the National Health Mission (NHM) project aimed at strengthening haemoglobinopathy management and care in West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria for IPGMER Staff Nurse Recruitment

Candidates applying for the Staff Nurse post must fulfill the following qualifications and requirements:

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must have completed the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC).

Candidates must also be registered with the West Bengal Nursing Council.

Experience: Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with Thalassemia patients and their families.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2026.

Salary Amount

Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated remuneration of ₹25,000 for the contractual position under the NHM project.
