The honour was conferred in acknowledgement of the institution’s significant contribution to the state’s development through the establishment of the Medical College & Hospital at Madhuban, Agartala, West Tripura. The felicitation ceremony took place on the main stage in the presence of senior government officials, industry leaders, dignitaries, and guests from various sectors
During the event, Mr. Malay Pit received a commemorative crystal memento from the Chief Minister, symbolizing appreciation for the Trust’s efforts in strengthening healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to medical education in the region. The audience responded with applause as the award highlighted the growing role of private and trust-led institutions in supporting public welfare and economic progress.
Beyond the establishment of the medical college and hospital, the organisation has also undertaken several social and developmental initiatives. These include the creation of “Positive Barta,” a platform promoting constructive communication and community engagement, training programs to empower women to become entrepreneurs, a large-scale plantation drive aiming to plant one crore trees within a year, and affordable healthcare services through ₹10 OPD facilities to support economically weaker sections.
In addition, efforts to strengthen local industries and small businesses are being advanced through initiatives such as Shantiniketan E-Hat and Shantiniketan Mela, which provide platforms for artisans, entrepreneurs, and local producers to showcase and sell their products. These collective initiatives reflect a broader vision that integrates healthcare, education, environment, and economic empowerment for inclusive growth.
Officials at the fair noted that the recognition reflects the government’s encouragement of initiatives that blend education, healthcare, and industrial growth for holistic state development. The ceremony not only celebrated institutional achievement but also reinforced the importance of collaboration between government and private organizations in building a stronger future for Tripura.
