SSC Recruitment Panel Cancelled 2026 (Group C and Group D): In a major development related to the teacher recruitment controversy in West Bengal, the entire recruitment panel for SSC Group C and Group D staff candidates has been cancelled following directions from the Supreme Court of India.
The commission on Saturday uploaded a rejection list of 256 candidates, barring them from appearing in the Group C (clerk) post test scheduled for March 1. It also uploaded another rejection list of 288 candidates, barring them from appearing in the Group D post test scheduled for March 8.
The court has also issued a stern message stating that no further applications or appeals will be entertained regarding this matter. The decision is expected to have a significant impact on thousands of candidates who were part of the recruitment process.
The Commission said: “It has come to the notice of the Commission that some candidates of 1st SLST (AT-Assistant Teacher) 2016 and 3rd RLST (NT-Non Teaching), 2016, whose names appear in the list of tainted candidates uploaded on the Commission’s website…, have applied for 1st SLST (Non Teaching Staff), 2025.
“The Commission has compared the list of applicants with the above mentioned tainted list through a preliminary system-based check.”
