NCSM Exhibition Officer Recruitment 2026: The National Council of Science Museums, 33, Block-GN, Sector-V, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata-700 091, has released a notification for the recruitment of Exhibition Officer –B.

National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous scientific organization functioning under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, invites online applications from the eligible candidates for the following post:

The post carries All India transfer liability, meaning selected candidates may be posted in any science museum or Centre under NCSM across the country.

Eligibility Criteria for NCSM Exhibition Officer Recruitment:

Qualification & Work Experience:

A recognized 1st Class Degree in Fine/Commercial Art of 4 or 5 years duration, OR Masters’ degree in Visual Arts/Fine Arts/Commercial Arts with at least five years of creative experience in the design of exhibits and exhibitions.

Age limit:

35 Years (Relaxable as per extant rules of GoI)

Job Description for Exhibition Officer- B:

Design and art layout of exhibition display, including all kinds of exhibits; supervision over junior members of staff in execution of display work, including layout, painting, screen printing, modelling, diorama making, photography, fibre glass work, etc.

Scale of pay for the post for NCSM Exhibition Officer Recruitment:

Pay Matrix Level 10 of 7th CPC (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) & other allowances as admissible under the rules of NCSM. (Total emoluments at start shall be Rs. 1,16,844.00 approx. in A-1 cities and will change depending on the place of posting.

The appointees of Exhibition Officer- B have excellent career opportunities for merit-based in-situ promotions applicable to the technical category of officers in NCSM, as per which an incumbent will be eligible for promotion to the next higher grades (maximum up to Pay Matrix Level 13A (Rs.131100-216600)) after a minimum residency period prescribed at each grade.
