  • Balvatika-1 / Balvatika-3 (where applicable)
  • Class I

• Admissions will be conducted through the online portal, similar to previous years.

Online registrations for admission in Balvatika and class I for the session 2026-27 will commence from 20-03-2026 at 10 AM

✔ For Class II and Above

• Offline admission only
• Applicable only if seats are vacant

Admissions in Newly Opened Kendriya Vidyalayas

• For new KVs opening from 1 April 2026:

  • Balvatika & Class I → Online admission
  • Class II to V → Offline admission (parallel schedule)

How to Apply Online for KVS Admission 2026–27

Applications are done through the official portal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Go to the KVS admission portal:

• Click on “Admissions 2026-27”
• Then open the Online Registration (Class 1 / Balvatika) link

Step 2: Register Yourself

• Click “New Registration”

• Enter:

  • Child’s Name
  • Parent’s Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID

• You’ll get an OTP for verification

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

Login and fill all details carefully:

• Service category (Govt/Private)

🏫 School Preferences

• Select nearby Kendriya Vidyalayas (you can choose multiple)

Important Instructions from Official Notice

According to the official circular dated 18 March 2026 :

1. 📄 Strict Document Verification

Schools must carefully verify:

• Date of Birth Certificate
• Parent’s Service Certificate
• Address Proof
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Disability Certificate (for CwSN category)

👉 Fake documents can lead to cancellation of admission and action against authorities.

2. 🧒 Balvatika Admission Rules

• Balvatika admissions will follow online mode
• Balvatika-3 students will be automatically promoted to Class I
• In such cases, available seats in Class I will be reduced accordingly

3. 🏫 Special Cases for Single Section Schools

• If a KV has only one section in Class I:

  • No online admission will be conducted
  • Admissions will be handled offline based on vacancies

4. 📢 Vacancy Information (Class II onwards)

• Schools must publish vacancy details on:

  • Official website
  • Notice board
  • Social media platforms (Facebook, X)

5. 🪪 EWS Category Relaxation

• In states without BPL cards:

  • Color-coded ration cards (Yellow/Green/Pink) or
  • Any valid EWS certificate

• These will be accepted as valid proof under RTE Act

6. 🔄 Transfer Requests Not Allowed

• Change of KV within the same academic year is not permitted
• Exception: Government employee transfer cases
