The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Advance Examination City Intimation Slip for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1. Candidates who have registered for the January session can now check and download their exam city allotment details from the official website.
This city intimation slip is not the admit card, but an advance facility provided to help candidates plan their travel and accommodation ahead of the examination.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1: Exam Dates and Schedule
As per the official notice, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination will be conducted on the following dates:
For Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech)
- Exam Dates: 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2026
- Shifts:
- First Shift: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Second Shift: 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM
For Paper 2 (B.Arch / B.Planning)
- Exam Date: 29 January 2026
- Timing:
- First Shift: 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM
These examinations will be conducted at centres located across various cities in India and 15 cities outside India.
What Is the City Intimation Slip?
The city intimation slip provides:
- Name of the city where the exam centre is located
- Exam date and shift
- Important instructions for candidates
It does not mention the exact exam centre address. That information will be available later on the JEE Main Admit Card.
How to Download JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip
Candidates can download the slip by following these steps:
- Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Log in using Application Number and Date of Birth / Password
- Click on “Advance City Intimation for JEE (Main) 2026 – Session 1”
- Download and save the PDF for future reference
