BLO SIR Payment Update 2026: A major financial update has arrived for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) engaged in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) work across West Bengal. Payments of ₹6,000 under “Other Charges” have officially been released, bringing relief and recognition to thousands of field-level election workers.
According to recent updates, the payment has been processed through the treasury system and is now being credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Payment Released from Treasury (BLO SIR Work Update)
As per official communication, the amount of ₹6,000 has been released from the Howrah-II Treasury and processed through the WBIFMS (West Bengal Integrated Financial Management System). The message indicates that the payment was scheduled for credit on 19 March 2026.
This confirms that the disbursement process is already underway, and many BLOs may have already received the amount in their bank accounts.
What This Payment Is For
The ₹6,000 payment is categorized under “Other Charges” and is linked to duties performed during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
BLOs play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of voter lists, conducting door-to-door verification, and assisting citizens with voter-related services under the supervision of the Election Commission of India.Check Your Bank Account
All BLOs who participated in SIR-related activities are advised to:
- Check their bank account balance
- Review SMS alerts from their bank
- Verify payment details through WBIFMS (if accessible)
If the amount is not yet credited, there is no need to panic. Treasury releases often take some time to reflect across all accounts due to banking cycles.
