Assistant Manager (Legal) – E-III Grade

• Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 per month
• Maximum Age: 32 years
• Experience: 4–5 years relevant experience

Deputy Manager (Legal) – E-IV Grade

• Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 per month
• Maximum Age: 36 years
• Experience: 8–9 years relevant experience

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for BEL Legal posts must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB/BL) from a recognized Indian university
• First Class for General candidates
• LLM qualification will be preferred

Candidates from the PwBD category require only a pass class in the degree.

Required Work Experience

Candidates must possess professional legal experience related to:

• Customs clearance procedures at airports and seaports
• Knowledge of Foreign Trade Policy and Free Trade Agreements
• Experience in legal drafting, appeals, and court representation
• Understanding of HSN classification, customs duty, and tax benefits
• Handling legal matters before courts, tribunals, and authorities

Deputy Manager candidates must also have experience in tax planning, compliance review, and preparing compliance manuals related to foreign trade and customs regulations.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules:

• PwBD candidates: Up to 10 years of relaxation
• Ex-servicemen: As per the Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will include:

1. Written Test
2. Interview

• Written Test: 85 marks
• Interview: 15 marks

Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:7 ratio. Minimum qualifying marks are 35% for general candidates and 30% for PwBD candidates.

The written test will be conducted only in Bengaluru, and the exact date will be communicated through email.
