Educational Qualification for BEL Invites Applications
Applicants must hold a full-time B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering, secured with First Class from an AICTE-approved institution or a recognized university. Degrees with mismatched specializations will not be considered.
Experience Requirement
- B.E./B.Tech candidates: Minimum 4 years of post-qualification industry or defence laboratory experience
- M.E./M.Tech candidates: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience
Experience gained through internships, teaching, research, apprenticeships, or contractual PSU engagements is not treated as valid experience for this post.
What Will the Senior Engineer Do?
The role is highly technical and innovation-driven. According to the notification, the selected engineers will work on:
- End-to-end design of UAVs, including modelling, structural and thermal analysis
- Subsystem design, prototyping, and performance evaluation
- System engineering of aerial platforms
- Design and testing of composite and metallic airframe structures
- Control systems design for aerial vehicles
- Documentation as per BEL’s defence-grade standards
Candidates with exposure to guidance systems, autopilot design, communication systems, simulation tools, C/C++, Python, ROS, ML, or AI will have an added advantage.
Salary, Allowances, and Benefits
In addition to the attractive basic pay, BEL offers a comprehensive remuneration package that includes:

Selection Process Explained
The selection will be carried out in two stages:
- Written Test
- Interview (15 marks)
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:7 ratio, category-wise, based on written test performance.
- Qualifying Marks:
- General: 35%
- SC / PwBD: 30%
Both the written test and interview will be conducted at BEL, Bengaluru.
