Indian Army Recruitment 2026: The Indian Army has released a new recruitment notification for the 2027 intake. Applications are invited from eligible unmarried male candidates for multiple medical-related posts, including Nursing Assistant and Sepoy Pharma.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army Recruitment
Educational Qualification
For Nursing Assistant:
- 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
- Minimum 50% aggregate and 40% in each subject
For Sepoy Pharma:
- 10+2 with D.Pharma (minimum 55%)
- Must be registered with Pharmacy Council
- B.Pharma candidates are also eligible
Age Limit
- Nursing Assistant: 17.5 to 23 years
- Sepoy Pharma: 19 to 25 years
Birth date ranges are clearly defined in the notification.
Physical Standards
Minimum physical requirements include:
- Height:
- Haryana: 170 cm
- Himachal Pradesh: 163 cm
- Chest: 77 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
Weight is calculated based on BMI standards, as shown in the detailed chart in the notification (pages 2–4).
Selection Process
The recruitment process will be conducted in two phases:
Phase 1: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)
- Computer-based test
- Multiple-choice questions
- Conducted in 13 languages
Phase 2: Recruitment Rally
Includes:
- Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, pull-ups, etc.)
- Physical Measurement Test
- Medical Examination
Only shortlisted candidates from the written exam will proceed to this stage.
