This recruitment drive is open only to candidates who are domiciles of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura.
The notification, issued under Advt. No. 01/2025/DR/NER, invites online applications for Senior Assistant (Electronics) and Junior Assistant (HR and Fire Services) posts across AAI airports in the region.

- Tentative CBT exam date: To be announced on the AAI website

AAI has announced a total of 14 vacancies under this recruitment.
- Senior Assistant (Electronics) – NE-06 Level
- Vacancies: 5
- Qualification: Diploma in Electronics / Telecommunication / Radio Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Junior Assistant (HR) – NE-04 Level
- Vacancies: 2
- Qualification: Graduate degree
- Additional Test: Computer Literacy Test in MS Office (qualifying)
- Junior Assistant (Fire Services) – NE-04 Level
- Vacancies: 7
- Qualification:
- 10th + 3-year Diploma (Mechanical / Automobile / Fire) OR
- 12th pass (regular study)
- Mandatory: Valid driving licence and physical fitness as per AAI standards
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Ex-Agniveers is applicable as per Government of India norms.
Age Limit (as on 06 December 2025)
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years
Age Relaxation
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC / ST: 5 years
- PwBD: Up to 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Agniveers: As per government rules
- Widows / divorced women: Up to 35–40 years (category-wise)
Salary & Benefits
Pay Scale (IDA Pattern)
- Senior Assistant (Electronics): ₹36,000 – ₹1,10,000 (NE-06)
- Junior Assistant (HR / Fire): ₹31,000 – ₹92,000 (NE-04)

Selection Process for AAI Recruitment
Senior Assistant (Electronics)
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – 2 hours
- Document Verification
- Mandatory training before appointment
Junior Assistant (HR)
- CBT – 2 hours
- Computer Literacy Test (qualifying)
- Document Verification
Junior Assistant (Fire Services)
- CBT – 2 hours
- Document verification & medical test
- Driving test
- Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- Basic training course
No negative marking is applicable in the CBT.
Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS: ₹1000
- Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / AAI Apprentices: No fee
