NTA Announced the 2026: Two Sessions Confirmed
According to the official notification issued by NTA, JEE Main 2026 will be held in the following two phases:
Session 1 (January 2026)
- Examination dates: January 21 to January 30, 2026
- Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech) will be conducted on multiple days
- Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) will be held towards the end of the session
Session 2 (April 2026)
- Examination dates: April 2 to April 9, 2026
Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted during this session
The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in India and abroad.
Application and Registration Timeline
The online application process for JEE Main 2026 began in October 2025 and concluded in November 2025. Candidates were allowed to apply separately for Session 1, Session 2, or both sessions.
